All at once, I can receive emails but can't send them. I get the following error message:
The connection to the server has failed.
Subject 'test', Account: 'pop-server.cfl.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.cfl.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10013, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Run CHKDSK

Go to the Start button.

Can Not Download Any Files

I am using Windows 7 and IE-11. I just migrated from a hard disk going bad to a new had disk for my C: drive (don't know if this is part of the issue or not). All of a sudden I can no longer download any files. I have no other problems that I am aware
of. When I try to download anything I get to the ribbon at the bottom of the screen that asks if I want to "Open" or "Save" and no matter which button I click nothing happens. I get no error messages. I have deactivated Norton 360 both anti-virus and firewall
but no fix. Norton support was no help, they wanted to remote into my computer but we could not download the required file. I have reset IE-11 to default settings several times, no fix. I have tried to delete IE-11 from my update files in my Programs and
Features but I get an error message indicating that not all the files were deleted. I tried using Internet Explorer (no add-ons) still no fix. I ran the windows repair disk and nothing was in need of repair. I am running out of ideas? Note Mozilla downloads
work fine.

Move the mouse cursor over to the upper right side of the screen.
A menu will pop up on the left. Click on the "Settings" feature on the menu.
On the Settings window, click on the "Change PC settings."

Using System Restore

Click on the Start button on the Taskbar.
Type "System Restore" (without quotes) in the Search box and hit Enter or,
Click on System Restore (when you see System Restore pop up in the list of search results).

Basically, All I want to do is format data that is not currently in use so that I can merge the partition with my main one. The reason I made the partition in the first place was to install Ubuntu, and since I uninstalled ubuntu, I can't use the partition.

I’d suggest you to follow the steps below that would help you use the free space available.
1.     When you right click on ‘Free space’ volume, instead of clicking on “New Simple Volume”, click on “Delete partition…” to delete the free space partition.
2.     Deleting the ‘Free space’ partition will result in unallocated space which you can merge it with D: drive to make use of your free space.
3.     To merge the unallocated space with D: drive, right click on D: drive and click on “Extend partition”, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Tweak IE Options

Open Internet Explorer.
Go to "Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab".
Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
Click "Apply".
Reboot your computer.

I've been counting on Live Mesh for so many months thinking when I need it, it will be there but that isn't the case.

I've added my office laptop in the Device and been doing sync every week.
Today, I happen to work on a different machine in my office but when I wish to download files from Live Mesh I CAN'T ACCESS THEM.
This is so frustrating.
Whether I login from Live
Mesh or reach devices.live.com i get the same error:

I've been waiting for hours but it isnt working.

Boot in Safe Mode:

Open Run command as previously described
Type MSConfig
Click on Boot tab
Tick Safe boot in Boot option
Select Network
Click Apply and OK
Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
