64 bit system getting 32 bit updates

I have a 64 bit system and am using Windows 7 - 64 bit version with Office 10.
I have updates set for automatic and am getting 32 bit updates.
Is this alright or should I be getting all 64 bit versions of updates? And, do I need to uninstall the 32 bit
updates that successfully installed?
