Can't type in text in body of email using Webmail in Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. Any idea why and how to fix it.

I can login to mail server and access my emails no problem, but the screen blocks me from type in the body of the email.  Small 'x' appears in top left corner and section blued out.  I can enter email addresses and other information.  HELP!
